The Signs Were There, Do You Think I Care?

Once again, conservatives have the whole gun issue wrong. as Patrick Neville said we need to secure our schools.

I understand that Neville still suffers from post traumatic stress disorder from what happened at Columbine High School, but this buzzword that the conservatives continue to use at the worst opportune time is simply beyond reprehensible.

Security?  What do Americans know about the issue?  An American’s view of the idea is that everyone is guilty until proven innocent-and that goes against our Constitution; you know, the part which mentions that people are safe in their persons and papers and that they can’t be searched until the pigs provide a warrant which lists the objects to be seized?

Amendment IV SEARCH AND SEIZURE

Passed by Congress September 25, 1789. Ratified December 15, 1791. The first 10 amendments form the Bill of Rights

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Fuck you, Patrick Neville.  Get fucked and get out.  Some of us prefer to live as free men rather than in a state of paranoia.  That’s because our amydalas work just fine.

The best thing to do is to prevent kids from shooting other kids in the first place by punishing bullies and forcing the group to engage in inclusion, but you conservatives don’t believe in the philosophy of inclusion, so I don’t really care what happens next.

You cannot have it both ways, Patrick Neville-although I’m sure you try.  After all you are a Republican, and we know what you do in public restrooms.

No one wakes up one day and decides to blow someplace halfway to Hell, because the signs are always there.  What needs to be done is to monitor peer behavior and make counseling more accessible for kids who need help.

Another thing that needs to be done is that there should be no stigmatization attached to this, because if that part isn’t fixed, what you have is another school shooting waiting in the room-and don’t expect me to sympathize was society.

I was one of those kids.  The only reason I didn’t do it is because I  was helped before I did anything.

Christian schools ruined me.

And Yet, Another…….

Another school shooting today has senselessly impacted more young lives on Tuesday.  The Republicans want thoughts and prayers, but the Democrats demand action.

Austin Wyatt Rollins, 17, shot two students at his high school in Maryland prior to the beginning of the class day.

Personally, I couldn’t care less anymore, and this is because voters continue to re-elect Republicans who suck Second Amendment cock-or maybe it’s just the barrel of a Glock.  It’s hard to say these days without any degree of certainty.   What’s certain is that the Republican Party-the same organization which claims to be “pro-life,” continues to block gun control legislation and access to quality mental health programs so that this kind of event doesn’t happen in the first place.

What’s most ironic is that the political party which claims to defend the Second Amendment is the reason why that Amendment was written in the first place, as the Republican Party is oppressive to the poor, minorities, and people with disabilities-especially developmental disabilities!

Let’s read together what the Founding Fathers’ position with regard to this particular issue in 1787:

Amendment II

“A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state….”

Anyone who might remember American history (and I can count as many people with just my left hand alone) will remember that this was what the British were after on April 19, 1775.

“Throw down your arms! Ye villains, ye rebels.” a British major yelled.

The right-wing argument is as follows: the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

However, responsibilities come with freedom, and when a “free society” feels so free so as to let certain people fall through its cracks, that society is held hostage by several forces which work against it: a once-necessary idea which has become outdated, a political terrorist group which pays politicians of a certain political party, and lastly, the said political party which looks the other way while American children are being killed by the very object they were bought off to protect.

Remember when we were kids and our parents took away our toys if we refused to behave responsibly?  Well, kiddies, that moment has come upon us again.
