There are a lot of people who make bad decisions, and often when there’s less than no time to think about that probable consequences will be.
Hello, prefrontal cortex, you snot-slurped asshole.
Many people who live with traumatic brain injury face this challenge every day in the hope that they don’t get into an argument with an idiot, only to be arrested for manslaughter, because he got tired of dealing with someone’s bullshit and pushed the other guy into an oncoming city bus-which only make things worse.
I mean, nobody really wants to do that, but there are some people who:
a) ask for it
b) don’t believe you’ll do it
The next thing one realises, the one who was pissed can’t believe what he or she just did! However, the person that once was was warned about the consequences. What seems to spectators as a deliberate act truly wasn’t, because the person who pushed you was on the receiving end of an equal and opposite reaction-and now, traffic is a nightmare because the coroner has to scrape your remains as best they can off the street.
Study the case of Phineas Gage, a railroad foreman who experienced a blast which sent a tamping iron-43 inches long, 1 1/4 inches in diameter, and weighing 13 1/4 pounds through his left cheek, slashed his brain, and rocketed skyward, landing several feet behind him, according to smithsonian.com.
He was never the same after this, as his friends said that he was “no longer Gage,” as Dr. John Harlow accounted.
Gage lost his balance between his common sense and his self-control, or as Paul the Apostle wrote in Romans 7:15-20: “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.”
Here’s the funny part: those who kicked me out of the church last year are Republicans who espouse the doctrine of personal responsibility. However, where was Paul’s sense of personal responsibility?
As George Carlin said: “Someone’s losing fucking ground.”
It might be best for Americans to stop judging people who have the tendency to hit someone in the mouth with a chair. After all, no one starts life that way and there are people who know the particular person’s weakness and exploit it in the hope that such a person will arrested on a assault charge.
Have you ever heard of entrapment? As Dirty Harry used to say: “A man has got to know his limitations.”
My advice is for instigators to not start anything to begin with, as someone’s fuse is shorter than another-and all because of traumatic brain injury. If you’re going to a soldier a free pass, you have to do the same for someone else-even when you’re dealing with someone who wasn’t stupid enough to drive over a roadside bomb during a quagmire in which we had no business involving ourselves.
Don’t fuck with the frontals, I’m begging ya!
Getting my Fender back in business is one thing that I wanted to accomplish over this break. However, I still had to finish an assignment in Psychology 630, which is Physiological Psychology, which I did.
Like I’m really going to leave the axe in my car? Yeah, I took it in the computer room with me!
This isn’t fun, but I try to ignore it, which is what anyone who struggles with a disabilities should do-work around the damn thing.
My fingers struggle and I have to be out of here by 5 p.m., so I think I that, due to the restriction of time, I will have to finish this for now.
Springfield, Ills, April 6, 1859
Messrs. Henry L. Pierce, & others.
Your kind note inviting me to attend a Festival in Boston, on the 13th. Inst. in honor of the birth-day of Thomas Jefferson, was duly received. My engagements are such that I can not attend.
Bearing in mind that about seventy years ago, two great political parties were first formed in this country, that Thomas Jefferson was the head of one of them, and Boston the head-quarters of the other, it is both curious and interesting that those supposed to descend politically from the party opposed to Jefferson should now be celebrating his birthday in their own original seat of empire, while those claiming political descent from him have nearly ceased to breathe his name everywhere.
Remembering too, that the Jefferson party were formed upon its supposed superior devotion to the personal rights of men, holding the rights of property to be secondary only, and greatly inferior, and then assuming that the so-called democracy of to-day, are the Jefferson, and their opponents, the anti-Jefferson parties, it will be equally interesting to note how completely the two have changed hands as to the principle upon which they were originally supposed to be divided.
The democracy of to-day hold the liberty of one man to be absolutely nothing, when in conflict with another man’s right of property. Republicans, on the contrary, are for both the man and the dollar; but in cases of conflict, the man before the dollar.
I remember once being much amused at seeing two partially intoxicated men engage in a fight with their great-coats on, which fight, after a long, and rather harmless contest, ended in each having fought himself out of his own coat, and into that of the other. If the two leading parties of this day are really identical with the two in the days of Jefferson and Adams, they have performed the same feat as the two drunken men.
But soberly, it is now no child’s play to save the principles of Jefferson from total overthrow in this nation.
One would start with great confidence that he could convince any sane child that the simpler propositions of Euclid are true; but, nevertheless, he would fail, utterly, with one who should deny the definitions and axioms. The principles of Jefferson are the definitions and axioms of free society.
And yet they are denied and evaded, with no small show of success.
One dashingly calls them “glittering generalities”; another bluntly calls them “self evident lies”; and still others insidiously argue that they apply only to “superior races.”
These expressions, differing in form, are identical in object and effect–the supplanting the principles of free government, and restoring those of classification, caste, and legitimacy. They would delight a convocation of crowned heads, plotting against the people. They are the van-guard–the miners, and sappers–of returning despotism.
We must repulse them, or they will subjugate us.
This is a world of compensations; and he who would be no slave, must consent to have no slave. Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves; and, under a just God, can not long retain it.
All honor to Jefferson–to the man who, in the concrete pressure of a struggle for national independence by a single people, had the coolness, forecast, and capacity to introduce into a merely revolutionary document, an abstract truth, applicable to all men and all times, and so to embalm it there, that to-day, and in all coming days, it shall be a rebuke and a stumbling-block to the very harbingers of re-appearing tyranny and oppression.
Your obedient Servant
Now, you who call yourselves Republicans claim that you are of the Party of Lincoln. Yet, you have been caught violating voting rights against blacks and Latinos, most of you do not support the Americans with Disabilities Act-which a Republican was politically blackmailed into signing in 1990.
You believe that immigrants will subjugate you, but the jobs they performed when they were here are not being filled by you. Hence, lazy white people have rotted entire fields because they didn’t want to work, and the price of groceries has increased because of your laziness.
By the way, I hope all of you white supremacists starve before you are able to bring another inbred thing into the world.
Abraham Lincoln supported unionization. You do not.
Abraham Lincoln supported freedom. You do not.
Abraham Lincoln (save for one misdeed) was a humanitarian. You modern-day Republicans, those of you who are bewitched by the occultism of Trumpism, aren’t even human beings.
American ambassador, Nikki Haley, condemned the United Nations’ report on poverty in the United States Monday, according to The Guardian. This is a bit hypocritical, especially since she announced America’s departure from UN’s human rights council.
Americans have never really believed in human rights, as Americans have engaged in slavery and genocide over the past two centuries. So, who are Americans to whine about human rights-especially when conservatives in the United States say that waterboarding isn’t torture?
Let’s take a look at our human rights record, shall we?
Genocide of Native Americans
Jim Crow Laws
Plessy v. Ferguson (separate, but equal)
Displacement of Japanese Americans during World War II
My Lai, 1968
Forced sterilization of people with developmental disabilities and mental illness
It doesn’t look good for the United States of America, does it?
Americans have always been hypocritical about the concept of human rights, but Donald Trump is brazen in this outright hypocrisy. He doesn’t even hide it.
Look at the way children were ripped their parents just days ago-including a child with a developmental disability.
Had I seen that I would have torn the bastard’s tongue right out of his fucking God damn head for mocking that poor little girl.
Remember that the Republican Party is supposed to uphold Christian virtue-as if Christianity had any virtue to uphold in the first place.
Does it not state in their Bible that we are to welcome the immigrant among us? And if so, does the Bible make any distinction between legal and supposedly illegal?
You’ve read it from me before, and I’ll reiterate the point, American Christians are going to burn in Hell for misery they have wrought upon the most vulnerable.
I’m still fighting what happened a while back, and it’s safe to say that I’m pretty much done with religion.
Religionists are very bigoted when it comes to things which they refuse to understand; those things which are either socially or scientifically related. They only refer to Bible verses when it comes to issues like depression and aggression. What’s more, you have read the passages which I have cited in the past. You can read them in the archives. You will find nothing but hypocrisy in them, as it would be nice if Christians at least tried to behave like Christ-Who actually healed people instead of judge their behavior.
Religionists hate people with traumatic brain injury. There are some with disabilities for whom they do try to help, but not with TBI. They still believe that to be a liberal excuse. Remember that these people don’t believe in Science-mainly don’t understand it, and never have. The flat-Earth belief is now currently being pushed by them again, and https://christianflatearthministry.org/ is just one example, so it’s no surprise that they judge behavior without researching the reason why a certain behavior would be exhibited.
This also happened when I worked with Tommy, the man with autism, when we were ejected from the Santa Barbara Mission in California. They didn’t like his yelling-which he couldn’t help. My fate will probably be decided on Friday, when I talk to the pastor. However, I don’t care anymore. I know that it will only be a pattern, as the religionists continue to express their ignorance at will, at the expense of people who have been hurt so many times that anything could make them snap.
Jesus healed an autistic man in Mark, Chapter 9, so there is no excuse for the modern-day religionist to hate people with developmental disabilities.
One either believes that all human life is sacred, or one votes for the political party that wants to destroy every social program just tells us all every voter needs to know.
Someone in a Facebook discussion stated: “I don’t believe in heaven or hell.
But damn. If there is a heaven, dogs should take precedence.”
Well, if there’s no Hell, I’d like to know where Adolf Hitler is for genocide and I’d also like to know where Donald Trump is headed since he likes to make fun of people with disabilities:
Of course, there’s a Hell. We’re all evil in one sense or another, as the human being is a prick by his very nature.
However, those who make fun or victimize those born with disabilities are the lowest of human excrement, and their Bible warns them what will happen to them, and the best example of this can be found in Matthew 25:42-46….just see above, as his attitude against the poor and his attitude against the disabled continues to worsen with every day he remains in office.
In fact, anyone who denies the disabled justice will burn like an American flag in Eternity-just look at the parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man in Luke 16:19-31.
The funny thing is that all of these people who oppose a rape victim’s right to choose think they are going to Heaven because they truly believe that they saved one life (while ruining another). This is especially funny since Republicans in Illinois tried to pass a bill which would have made it impossible for a single mother to apply for aid if she could not identify the father of her child.
Now, let’s suppose that the father of her child just happened to be her own father.
It’s quite possible that Christ is disgusted by this behavior, which is being done in His Name, but it’s hard to say for sure.
However, with regard to people with disabilities, remember that the Republican Party has cut services for the disabled since Wigboy weaseled his way into the White House, and they are the ones who want to force everyone to pray in public schools again.
If you have a traumatic brain injury, like I do, there’s no doubt that you lose the dumbest things in the world-like phones. Most people lose things part of the time, but we never remember where we put anything, do we? And it’s not where we last remembered seeing it.
Remember when they were on walls or atop a table?
Then some “genius” decides to “make life more convenient” by inventing the cordless phone. Yeah, it’s convenient for everyone-but us.
We never remember where the hell we put the motherfucker, do we? We hear it ringing and hunt like Elmer Fudd-and we wind up looking like Elmer Fudd in the end, too…as we’ve only managed to make a total ass of ourselves.
The problem is that the prefrontal cortex, found in the frontal lobe, works about as well as that used car you bought off your “friend” for $200. It’s so thrashed that it couldn’t play thrash metal if it were a member of the San Francisco-based thrash metal band, Exodus.
People accuse you of daydreaming or simply not paying attention, but that’s because they’re idiots-and there’s no excuse for being an idiot in the 21st Century, as one should research another whose behavior they find peculiar.
Meanwhile, you wind up firing obscenities at the moron-who then accuses you of having an attitude.
Believe me, I sympathize, as I’ve lived it myself. The irony is that, even after all the research with all of those who returned from the Iraq War with traumatic brain injury, the bastards still refuse to apologize, as they cite ignorance as an excuse. It’s funny, but these are the same hypocritical sons of bitches who tell us that ignorance is no excuse.
The usual problem is that STM (short-term memory) doesn’t become LTM (long-term memory) because of the hippocampus, and that’s in your brain’s temporal lobe. The funny thing is that my short-term memory usually does become long-term memory. This is because my memory works like a Polaroid.
The details return later-and in small bits.
Scientists at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research discovered that there must be unison. The memory must clear through a hippocampal pathway several times.
It’s like a road trip; from the hippocampus through an obstacle course inside the hypothalamus, known as the mammillary bodies, to the anterior cortex, and returning to the hippocampus-and then it’s stored in the cerebral cortex-but only if your head hasn’t been hit by pallets or if you haven’t played in the National Football League.
According to columnist Lia Stannard, researchers at Georgia Tech found that LTM doesn’t decay like STM-and that’s me, kids. It’s probably your experience, too.
It’s frustrating and most people can’t figure out why we are so pissed off when they give us the statements I mentioned prior.
It almost makes you want to hit them in the head with an aluminum baseball bat, just to see what it’s like…. doesn’t it? The problem is that we’d get caught because we would forget how to get out of the area in the first place.
People had just best shut up about our frustration-of which I warn them.
There’s several things I plan to do with regard to this issue.
I have a fifty-year-old rotary phone that works better than any of the crap that’s on the market today-and it’s got that short cord. I always know where it is.
If I absolutely must carry a cordless phone of any kind, I put the thing in my pocket.
Has anyone noticed that this writer sticks it to the United States of America?
Aw! Really? You’re kidding!
There are two main reasons why this writer does what he does.
First, the Pledge of Allegiance is bullcrap, as we do not believe in liberty and justice for all-as you will see in this clip.
This is a clear abuse of power, as this black man did nothing wrong. Here is what I posted to the Daily Mail’s Facebook page with regard to this white criminal, as he threatened to CREATE CHARGES against an INNOCENT BLACK MAN:
This is how American cops behave.
They commit civil rights violations on a daily basis. American police are today’s Gestapo and must be stopped by any means, as they threaten every American’s civil rights.
The black man in the video spoke to the officer respectfully. However, just as all white cops generalise, so can we generalise against all cops in the United States, as they continue to demonstrate their are racist behaviour-and there is your proof.
As for what they do to Americans with developmental disabilities, they have been known to murder them in cold blood. Many videos on YouTube will prove it.
Thank God for dead cops, as I have also never broken any laws, but been harassed numerous times for political reasons.
I do not have an arrest record.
Most American cops hate Democrats. How do they know my political affiliation? By the stickers on the back of my 2000 Plymouth Breeze.
American pigs don’t deserve respect. If anything, this is about all they deserve from the United Nations.
The average American cop never entered this line of work to protect the public. He entered this line of work to intimidate or execute those whom he deems to be inferior.
The same goes for any right-wing terrorist group-such as the Republican Party, the National Rifle Association, and the Ku Klux Klan.
Not all American liberals have surrendered to this madness which Trump has unleashed upon the United States, as you can clearly tell. However, it’s getting more difficult to rally the frightened, because they don’t want to admit that their Hippie beliefs of peace and love at any price has failed-miserably.
Not only that, but Americans don’t stand for the rights of all-even many liberals fail at this-which leads to a problem of a different paradigm…one you would not expect from a liberal who proclaims freedom for all and that everyone is equal.
For example, we expect Republicans to marginalize the developmentally disabled. And while Democratic officeholders, such as Charles Schumer (D)-New York, Maxine Waters (D)-California, Dianne Feinstein (D)-California, and Kamala Harris, (D)-California fight for every developmentally disabled person’s right to life, liberty, and their pursuit of happiness, the average grassroots Democratic volunteer is almost as ignorant as about any Republican.
This is because they do not take neurological considerations into account. However, the main problem is that these are relatively old people who choose to remain as ignorant as their Republican counterparts when they see someone with autism or a traumatic brain injury behave in less than an appropriate manner.
To put it bluntly, some on the American left-especially the baby boomers are just pretty stupid and hypocritical. While it’s one thing to prove that Republicans are the most bigoted sons of sisters to ever walk the planet, baby boomer Democrats tend to have their own problems with regard to bias. This is especially true as they reject the new information, and they are hypocritical because they almost respond like the Republicans they hate when it comes to how they deal with someone with a traumatic brain injury.
There’s only one way to put this to just about any American senior citizen-especially the Hippie left which has now become as prejudiced as the Republican Party:
While Democrats are smart enough to pipe down, Republicans often tell me to leave this country if I don’t like how things go here-in other words, they are quite comfortable with their bigotry.
I guess someone should have told the Black Panthers and Rosa Parks to leave America, but they improved this hypocritical nation-whether Americans wanted to change or not.
