“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
I do not agree with that statement, and here is why.
People need to be fed so that they can attain knowledge. How are children going to learn if they’re hungry?
What we need to do is increase the minimum wage and control the cost of education-if not make it free altogether. (source:http://www.businessinsider.com/how-do-european-countries-afford-free-college-2016-3), so that college graduates can immediately contribute to society.
Another thing we need to do is distribute birth control-and I’m tired of American special interest groups spewing their garbage about how this is wrong. They don’t help hungry children, so they need to stay out of the discussion. They’re actually one of main the causes of starvation in the first place-because they oppose birth control.
Where is James Madison when you need him in order to explain this? Because he and John Adams made it very clear regarding this particular issue. Therefore, these special interest groups (of whom you know I am referring, but would rather not name) need to be silenced, as all they do is cause a deterioration of the situation and ruin more innocent lives of people in poverty; people who never should have been allowed to slip into poverty in the first place.
Just in case any right-wing piece of hypocrisy wants to take this writer on about how people who can’t afford children shouldn’t have them and that they shouldn’t have sex if there’s any chance of pregnancy, you will be destroyed by your own book.
1 Corinthians 7:1-9New International Version (NIV)
Concerning Married Life
7 Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” 2 But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6 I say this as a concession, not as a command. 7 I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.
8 Now to the unmarried[a] and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. 9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.”
Education should be a basic human right, and therefore, free. The poor and the lower middle class must have access to quality food and adequate shelter if they are to improve themselves. This is something that Republicans oppose. The only problem is that there is no nutritional value in Top Ramen.
Jesus fed the poor for free, did He not? Do you suppose He fed the poor shit?
History shows us what happens when society shuns the weakest-and that’s where my capitalist side emerges.
I will capitalize off your economic misery in the same manner that you destroyed the hopes of the poor and the lower middle-class.
